The Astor 007 Festival - Tonight "OHMSS"

Tonight Jean-Claude and I attended a screening of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" as part of the continuing 007 Festival at The Astor Theatre.
By the time the film started I estimated there were about 200 other people watching the gun barrel roll across the screen.  And as the story progressed I suspected many of them hadn't seen it before from their audible reactions.

The film looked great too.  Digital ensured it was really clear and bright.  The sound in some sections was awesome, expecially the avalanche scene.  This film is definitely supposed to be viewed on the big screen.  And despite  having seen "OHMSS" so many times before there were still parts that surprised me... for instance how well Tracey fought Gunther.  She is one tough Bond girl !

Jean-Claude, who'd never seen "OHMSS" on the big screen before, enjoyed it too.

Next week at The Astor the double feature "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "For Your Eyes Only" is being shown.  These are both great Moore films so if you get a chance definitely check them out.

Finally here's some photos I took while we waited for the film to start.  It's certainly a great cinema with plenty of atmosphere.
